Hey all,
I’m sure you all know by now that I’m doing a video diary which is a video every day for a year or longer… Today is day 9 and I’ve already encountered a problem. Whenever I open Windows Movie Maker (or some other programs) my computer overheats and shuts down. I found online that there are other people have had the same thing happen to them…the fan needs replaced. Remember, my laptop shuts down two or three times a day just while I’m trying to edit and upload my daily videos.
There’s also a screw inside that broke and I need replaced. That means my laptops probably gonna need to be shipped to Gateway for them to fix it (I’ll have to see what the Geek Squad says). But I need to fix this before I start taking classes in the Fall again (maybe).
Hopefully this all will be covered so I don’t have to pay for it because I’m planning on buying a Macbook Pro once financial aid pays me this next semester…or the next depending on how much they give me.
BUT point is, I have three options and I want to know what you think!
Option A: Deal with it shutting down until I can get a Mac. Keep making videos (this is the only option I have where I would be able to keep making videos)
Option B: Get it fixed but use the home computer to keep contact. Don’t do videos.
Option C: Get it fixed and see if I can go the entire time (prolly up to three weeks) without using a computer. Don’t do videos. I would be taking photos and writing stuff in a notebook to share with you all once I get my laptop back – its gonna be tough.
I really want to know what you think so please let me know! Thank you for your comments and feedback! I’ll be sure to let you know what I decide to do.
